Michael James Gallagher evolved from a family run construction business dating back to 1971. During this period the focus was on local authority projects which included schemes such as the refurbishment & extension of both Barking Town Hall & the Dagenham Civic Centre.
During the 1980s MJG was to expand on its expertise in working on Period Properties, & developed buildings such as Lloyds Wharf, a docklands development of 55 apartments with conference facilities & wine bar.
Over the next decade MJG went on to diversify its operations into more commercially based projects. The refurbishment of the Choir School as St Paul’s Cathedral, Escada Store in Sloane Street & the design, substantial extension & complete refurbishment of the 16th Century Grade II Listed Farmhouse to form Forester Park Golf Club are prime examples.
During this period MJG established a reputation as an organisation dedicated to delivering a quality product, on time & within budget & resulted in continuing relationships with a number of high profile clients.
The last decade has been primarily focused on the design, refurbishment or construction of elegant residences in highly desirable locations including Chelsea, Holland Park, & Kensington. It has also seen an increase in MJGs involvement in the management of prestige residential developments which currently include the design & build of a modern apartment block at Roca Court, & the country estate at Meadow View comprising 20 exclusive homes.
